What is DuPont Paper?

The commonly known "DuPont paper" in the market is actually two materials produced by DuPont: one is high-density polyethylene material, named Tyvek, and the Chinese name is Tyvek; the other is meta-aramid fiber material, The name is Nomex, and the Chinese name is Nomex.

Tyvek was invented in the 1950s and commercialized in the 1960s. Tyvek is a high-density polyethylene made of high-density polyethylene using flash evaporation technology, which is processed by hot-melting polymer into continuous filaments and then thermally bonded. This unique process technology allows Tyvek to combine paper, film and fabric. All in one material properties, waterproof, breathable, lightweight, strong, tear-resistant, puncture-resistant, high reflectivity, diffuse reflectance, UV-resistant, unique texture and touch, environmentally friendly, recyclable, and compatible with various printing technologies And most digital printing technology, suitable for a variety of processing technology. Tyvek is widely used in waterproof and breathable materials for exterior walls and roofs, sterilization packaging materials for medical equipment, and chemical protective clothing in the field of industrial personal protection. In recent years, Tyvek has also been seen in various civilian design and creative products, such as fashionable household items, fashion, art, cultural and creative products, environmental protection and creative packaging, etc. Tyvek is pure white and comes in two different constructions: a hard construction material like paper and a soft construction material like cloth.

As an insulating material, Nomex is widely used in various electrical equipment and electronic fields that meet UL, IEC and various national and regional standards, such as electrical insulation of motors, transformers, household appliances, power tools and small HVAC equipment.
